Roland was very honest and gave plenty of recommendations on products to suit my needs. I highly recommend Roland. I’m a licensed builder in Tasmania and have dealt with a lot of people within and around the industry and he is very genuine.
After receiving quotes from a number of different local solar companies, I chose Roland from Ultra Greensun Solar Southern Tasmania as my supplier. I did this for a couple of reasons. First, I found Roland to be a warm, helpful and most importantly in this industry, honest person, who's company has a virtually flawless reputation in the market place, and the review sites I searched. Secondly, he was open to products I preferred, namely REC Pure Alpha solar panels and the latest Sungrow 3 string inverter. Moreover, his prices on these products was better than anyone else, but even if it was slightly more, he gave me the confidence to believe he knew what he was doing and that he would stand behind his workmanship. With REC, for me to get their extended warranty, it required his installers to become approved by REC through a training programme. Roland did this at his expense, without hesitation. This alone was enormous comfort to me. Finally, he guided me through the complex process of setting up my home for solar, getting me online with the Sungrow app so I could monitor my solar consumption in real time, and going above and beyond in every aspect of my dealings with him. Two last bonuses; a) he was a registered Brighte Energy Finance supplier, which allowed us to pay for our system over a 3 year period (Tasmanian Government Incentive) interest free, and b) the resulting savings from this 6.3kw system has, for the past two months since it was installed (March/April 2023) has delivered us a credit, not a bill (albeit we have a concession card which delivers around $40/month savings, but even without that we would have had bills or around $30/month instead of the previous $120/month. And power bills are reportedly on the rise!). Roland, and Ultragreensun Solar Southern Tasmania get my highest recommendation and I would, without hesitation recommend him and his company to anyone considering a solar system. It's been the best decision for us.
