Do higher quality solar panels give you a longer lasting off-grid solar power system?
Synopsis
We have installed a six kilowatt system to power two houses, which includes 20 x 300 watt solar panels and a 400 watt wind turbine to back up the batteries. The system is also equipped with 24 batteries and a 9.4 KVA generator for cloudy or rainy days. Our research on the best panels and quality has paid off, as we haven't experienced any downtime in the five years since installation.
Investing in a high-quality and well-researched solar panel system for your area will not only pay off in the long run, but also provide better service and longevity. Take the time to find the best system for your needs and enjoy the benefits of sustainable energy.

We've got a six kilowatt system here because we run two houses off the system. We have 20 x 300 watt solar panels on the roof, and we have a 400 watt wind turbine that is hooked into the system to back up the batteries afterwards. We have 24 batteries in total and we have a 9.4 KVA generator to back up the system when we have very cloudy or rainy days. I did a lot of research into the panels and looked at the range of what was available and listened to a lot of the experts in the field.
Panels that were recommended for this system were the best that we needed at the time to give us the six kilowatt system that we needed for the two houses. We put the system in five years ago, and it was the top quality that when we put the system in. And I've been very happy with the service that we've had from the system, we haven't had any downtime with it. I think that it's worth doing the research and finding out the best system for your area and the best quality. Long term it pays off, because it will last longer and you get better service.
