Do solar panel optimisers give you better solar system performance monitoring?

The optimisers are so effective that you can monitor your solar system remotely via an app, so you know what's happening at home even when you're away. For example, a retired couple in Australia were able to monitor their solar system from Hong Kong and see that they only lost power for a few hours during a cyclone. It's a great app and and that really gets people, when they can see what each individual panel is producing at, within 15 minutes or so of that given time. And they can pull it out and show their friends at work or overseas. I'll give you a classic. A retired couple, and they had a system on and there's only a one and a half and it wasn't working. And I said to them, I said, look, we'll upgrade the system. Checked the panels out, they had a little bit of shading issue as well at different parts of the day and different times of the year. And I bumped into them at the Changi airport in Singapore. And this was the time cyclone Marcus was here. And I said, how's your, how's your solar going? Oh, Jeff said, he said, he said, we got a 26 cent bill was the last one. And his wife Fran said, well, it was quite funny. We just visited our son in Hong Kong. And we knew exactly what was going on at home was through the app. We knew that we didn't lose power, or we only lost a few hours. So from Hong Kong, she was checking her system to see what was happening at home. It was unbelievable.

So the optimiser optimises each individual panel. So if we have one panel that goes out, we can see that there's a problem either with the optimiser or the panel. And it only takes to do this, would only take a matter of two or three minutes to change over an optimiser if it dies on you. So it's individual monitoring, which is one of the greatest things to be able to do. So you can see, map your performance day by day on, on how each one's going. So if you're shading around you'd see which one had the shading on it, through that individual monitoring. I might get an optimiser pops off now and again, but I know before the customer does and is surprised that I ringing up and say listen, you don't mind if I pop around tomorrow and hop up in your roof and change an optimiser? Oh, they said, Oh, I haven't checked it for a while. And I said, yeah, number seven or whatever is, is hasn't hasn't been working for a week or so. Yeah. Pop around. So I'll usually pop in and, and it takes me longer to have a cup of coffee and a chat, then it does to change the optimiser.
