How does a local installer overcome the solar power problems in harsh coastal environments?
Synopsis
Living in a coastal region can be challenging due to high winds, salt, and exposure to elements. When planning for installations, choosing equipment that can withstand these conditions is essential. This is particularly important for beachfront properties which are more exposed to the elements. High-quality annodisation and high salt ratings can ensure that the equipment lasts a long time.
When working in areas such as Wombarra with high volumes of trees or Kiama with high wind aspects, understanding design limitations and restrictions is crucial. Inland areas have dry and harsh climates, making it important to choose equipment that matches the area. The team at this company are locals and understand the areas they work in, making it easier for them to identify design complexities and restrictions.

Yeah, so our region is predominantly coastal. So there's going to be high winds, there's going to be high salt. A lot of our properties that we've done installations for have been beach fronts. So it's going to have more exposed to the elements than some of the more inland areas. So the ability to withstand and have high salt ratings, have high quality annodisation, just make sense to make sure that the gear is going to last a long time, to last the warranty period, and more.
You could be up in the area of Wombarra where there's a high volume of trees, and there's a lot of vegetation around. So understanding the limitations and restrictions that that may imply within your design. Or you may go along the beach down in Kiama, where there's going to be a high wind aspects. So having a product that is able to withstands the large lift and push amount of pressure that the winds cause, in land more, you're going to have dry climate and harsher climate. So, choosing the equipment, that's going to match your area, understanding your region. And again, it comes down to the point that because we're local, we understand the areas that we're installing in. It's not just a spot on Google Maps.
This is our area, we understand if you tell me where you're from straightaway I already have an idea of where there might be design complexities or design restrictions. So we'll then work with you to go and as best as we can around those restrictions. Australia in general is quite a harsh environment, so it's not stuffed clouds and rolling hills, it's quite a harsh environment from temperature ranges, from the really highs and the lows, with high humidity areas, with the salt and the wind. So all these factors contribute to a great degradation of materials. It just makes sense to just go straight quality, skip all the multiple steps of going, I'm just going to do a cheap one, I'm going to do a cheap one, I'm going to do a cheap one. Great for quality then that's it. You're Hassle free.
