How does solar power monitoring help to detect errors or optimise a solar battery?
Synopsis
Monitoring is a crucial aspect of any modern solar system. At our office, we monitor every system we install and have a dedicated inbox for this purpose. By doing so, we can detect and fix any issues before the customer even realizes there's a problem.
More than just energy production, solar systems are now being developed to store energy for use during times when there is no sunlight. Monitoring helps us create a customer profile that allows us to size batteries appropriately so that they can handle night-time usage. This means that monitoring is a necessary part of battery sizing.

So monitoring is very important. Every one of our systems we do here is monitored here, right here in our office. Basically every single solar system that we instal here, we monitor day in, day out. We have an inbox dedicated to monitoring systems. So basically if there's anything that goes wrong with the system, we will know before the customer has even realised. And then our process, obviously, if there is any sort of problem, we would contact that customer and get onto it straight away. Monitoring is a very important part of any modern solar system. Solar is going down the track now where it's not just about producing energy, it's about finding ways we can store that up and then use it in times of need. So monitoring plays a massive part in that because we can grab a good profile of a customer's usage and that way, then we can size batteries appropriately to be able to deal with their night time usage. So monitoring these days plays an important part of sizing batteries down the track.
