Why is it important to choose an expert solar power installer if your home has a difficult roof design?

Synopsis

Looking for an air conditioning system that is both financial and environmental? Look no further than solar panels. This homeowner opted for a solar panel system due to the large air conditioning requirement of their old house. The difficult installation was handled with care and expertise, resulting in a tidy and secure system that has withstood winter storms with ease.

The steep roof and desired landscape orientation made installation a challenge, but the team managed to install the panels directly to the corrugated sheets for a secure fit. The wiring was also handled with care, ensuring that everything was in conduit with no loose wires. This solar panel system is an excellent choice for homeowners looking to save money and reduce their environmental impact.

Well it's an old house, it has a large air conditioning requirement in summer. So you know it was financial, but it's also partly environmental as well. So you know, there's no question I was going to go ahead with such a system, it was a question of how big it was, who was going to install it, and who's going to be the manufacturer for the panels and the inverters.

Because we've got a large steep roof here, it's like a 35 degree angle, and I particularly wanted landscape orientation rather than portrait, and that makes it difficult with the roof the way that the purlin spacing is. And I'd done some sort of research into other ways of fixing to a metal roof, where it fixes directly to the corrugated sheets, not necessarily to the purlins.

They did an excellent job, they were very careful on the roof when they came. What particularly impressed me was when they did the wiring inside the roof cavity, everything was in conduit, there's no loose wires. Everything was really tidy, going right down to the switchboard, and the choice of the panel system. They're excellent because they're running around on your roof, and you want the installation done correctly. Because you know, you get winter storms coming in, you don't want panels lifting off. You want it all done correctly. And so far it's been through quite a few storms, hasn't batted an eyelid at all.
