Why should you invest in a higher quality solar system if you're living at your property long-term?

Synopsis

The climate in which we operate is typically at the higher end of the scale, with hot, dry summers and mild but cold winters. These seasons represent the two highest power consumption points of the year and are a key driver for people to invest in solar systems. Whether someone is looking for a short-term solution or a long-term investment, choosing high-quality products is essential for long-term reliability. This includes panels and solar inverters from reputable brands.

Currently, the federal government rebate system allows for rebates on both cheap and expensive solar panels. However, investing in a more expensive panel with a 25-year warranty and minimal degradation over time may offer a better long-term solution for those who plan to remain in their homes for many years.

The climate that we work in is typically of the higher end of the scale. We get the extremes, and summer's quite a harsh environment for people and solar systems. Typically we're more known for hot summers, hot dry summers. Winters are typically mild, yes cold. They're probably the two highest power consumption points of the year. Those two portions of the year are the drivers for people to maybe look into getting solar systems. Everyone's in a different situation, so you've got people that want to be at a property short-term, or people that are in homes that they want to remain in for a fairly long duration, or the rest of their lives.

Utilising better products for people that are going to remain in the same home for many years, the better products are going to offer that better long-term reliability. Choosing a good quality brand is very important, both with panels and solar inverters. Currently, we've got a federal government rebate system, that you can claim a rebate against a cheap solar panel, and you can claim the same rebate against a more expensive solar panel, with a 25 year parts, labour warranty, and a very minimal degradation over 25 years.
